Riverhome Psychological Services

This is a website developed for Jason Schwenker, a psychologist starting his independent therapy and testing practice. Among other things, Jason is adept at psychological evaluations, and has a special interest in Rorschach testing, which inspired this inky logo.

Jason has lived and practiced by a number of different rivers in many different states, and a unifying theme that produced the name Riverhome. I wanted to capture the flow of the river (a good metaphor for healing and moving forward) as well as the sense and feel of a Rorschach inkblot.

The color scheme is bright and welcoming but also calming and based in nature. Jason is currently practicing in the Flathead Valley of Montana, so I used images of this area to inspire my color palette and bring some calming energy to the website.

Jason has told me that a number of clients have reach out to him because of the welcoming feel and ease of navigability of the website, and that really confirms for me the importance of design in creating welcoming spaces.
